[Chuuya spends some time searching for Hizamaru, and eventually finds him sitting by the pool. Looking for some serenity, probably. God knows they all need that.

He clears his throat first - wouldn't be surprised if Hizamaru was jumpy.]

Can I keep you company?

Yes. He was my friend. He was very kind... He didn't deserve to be killed for his choice.

He was a good guy who didn't deserve any of this.

He liked my poetry. And he was going to be a professional photographer when he went home.

[leggymaru]

[This gets the barest hints of a smile out of him, even if it slowly fades.]

Pictures made him happy, and he was skilled at taking them. I'm not sure... if he would be able to do that when he returned home, however. Though I would want that for him.

[goatsongs]

I'd want him to be able to do something that made him happy.

[Even if pictures have sort of been ruined for him lately.]

[leggymaru]

Yes. Me, too.

[He glances up.]

I'm okay, Chuuya-san.

[goatsongs]

You don't have to be.

[He leans against Hizamaru's side.]

[leggymaru]

Elder brother is depending on me. [But he doesn't deny it. His back straightens a little, enough to support Chuuya's lean.] Tomorrow, we'll get rid of the demon.

It won't return Prompto-san to us, but...

[goatsongs]

But it's the least he deserves, for what was done to him.

[Revenge, or justice. They're similar, in some ways.]

[Well, he can't argue against that. Justice and revenge is a very fine line.]

I suppose you are right, Chuuya-san.

[goatsongs]

...And if you ever want to talk about anything, I'm around.

[It's only fair. He'd done the same for Chuuya.]

[leggymaru]

Thank you, Chuuya-san.

[He feels like a hypocrite having spouted all that stuff only to just turn around and do the exact same thing almost. He lowers his eyes.]

I'm okay. I wouldn't want to burden you with anything unnecessary.

[goatsongs]

You let me burden you with unnecessary things.

[just because your boyfriend was murdered doesn't mean he's not going to call you out on your hypocrisy]

[leggymaru]

Yours aren't... [Dammit. He's really caught.] I don't think yours are unnecessary. They were important to you.

[goatsongs]

And yours aren't important to you?

[leggymaru]

No... They're important to me, Chuuya-san. [He smiles faintly and wryly.] I understand.

If I need to talk... I'll come to you, Chuuya-san. Thank you. You've helped me much already.

[goatsongs]

Any time.

[It's bad that he had to have this talk with Hizamaru, but at least someone did.]

Need a hug?

[leggymaru]

[BOY DOES HE.

He peers at Chuuya curiously, looking surprised by the question.]

Would you like a hug, Chuuya-san?

[goatsongs]

Maybe.

[Or maybe he thinks you wouldn't say yes even if the answer is yes!!]

[leggymaru]

[Silly Chuuya.

A very faint, small smile tugs at his lips. Turning, he loops his arms around Chuuya's neck and shoulders and offers him a hug of reassurance even though he's the one that supposedly needed it.]

[goatsongs]

[A hug Chuuya returns, tightly. A hug is a hug, even if he sort of had to lie to get Hizamaru to accept it from him.]

[leggymaru]

[He may or may not have given Chuuya a hug anyway. Maybe. But he at least has a nice set of arms to give good hugs with, even so.]

Thank you, Chuuya-san. I didn't consider a hug to be something I ever needed.

[Better than Chuuya's tiny arms, probably.]

Hugs are surprisingly nice, huh. Even I like them.

[leggymaru]

They're... different. We don't usually do a lot of hugging at the Citadel. Sometimes, between some of us.

I don't... think I mind them.

[goatsongs]

Maybe you should do more of them, when you get back.

Perhaps. I'm not sure how the others may take it, but... it's interesting to see what humans do as humans.
