Character: Chuuya Nakahara
Canon: Bungou to Alchemist
Canon point: Post-"Defensive Reinforcement Research - Second Term" event
OU or AU?: OU
Age: 30 when he was alive, not counting having been summoned back from the dead about four years ago. Looks early 20s.
Species: Astral being - the memories and essence of a dead author transmigrated into a living body.

Disposition: Drunkard: First impressions of Chuuya will probably be made while Chuuya is drunk, because Chuuya is drunk a whole heck of a lot. Constantly, if he has his way. He's an angry drunk, and prone to picking fights - which he almost always loses, because he's 5'1" and has basically no muscle mass. After those fights end in the other person's favor, he acts like nothing ever happened. He also tends to go on long drunken rants that make no sense but sure sound poetic.
Bully: Chuuya likes to pick on people who don't provide resistance. He's rude as heck even to the people he does like, and when he actually is mad at someone he won't hold back on insulting them or throwing punches.
Arrogant: Chuuya is a genius poet, a prodigy, and he knows it. He quotes his own poems all the time and doesn't really take his opponents seriously, showing up drunk to combats against the monsters the authors fight. He has the skill as a poet and a marksman to back it up, at least. His pride is also what keeps him from showing vulnerability to other people, even when it's really obvious he's suffering.
Grieving: He did not take the death of his first child well - he had a mental breakdown in life that he never fully recovered from before his death - and it shows in how he behaves to this day. His drinking is an attempt to mitigate the pain, but even that is only a temporary solution. Chuuya is a wreck of a man held together by alcohol and spite.
Sensitive: Chuuya writes truly beautiful poetry - it's the only way he actually can express himself. He's good with kids and dotes on them constantly, showing his rare soft side. He's good company when he's sober, he's just... never sober.
Socially awkward: Chuuya genuinely does want to make friends, he just doesn't know how. He can only express himself in poetry and finds it hard to open up to other people. The more he likes someone, the more he picks on them.
Under pressure: Chuuya's been using the fight to protect literature and defeat the Taints as a way to keep his mind off of things and provide at least some structure in his life. With that gone, he's likely to flounder for a while as he struggles to find some direction. Meeting new people, especially busybodies who won't be intimidated by Chuuya's attempts to push them away, will help with him opening up to people about his grief and getting slightly better coping skills.
Condition upon arrival: Hungover. Likely to snap at NPCs and demand they give him a drink already.
Abilities: -Writing poetry.
-A good shot with a gun, even (especially?) while drunk.
-Can heal his injuries by drinking ink.
-Can delve inside of books. Since the books here aren't infested with monsters trying to destroy all literature, there's really no point to doing this here, but he can.
Inventory: "Goat Songs", his first collection of poetry that also turns into a gun when he wills it to. Empty bottle of sake.
Gembond: Amethyst
Gem Location: Center of forehead

Notes: The Nakahara Chuuya already in game is from an entirely unrelated canon - he's named after the poet that this Chuuya is based on.
